Hey guys, This is the second part of my ten hour practice day. If you missed the first video here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHSbDiud84E There's more info in the info tab on the first video. But if you have any questions please feel free to ask to me. And comments at all are more than welcome. In this video i do the following. (Each number represents an hour): 6. Theory/Sight Reading In this hour i work on my theory skills and sight reading. I work through a few different books. Working on sight reading in different positions and even just playing sheet music on single strings. 7. Piano Playing I spend the next hour working on sight reading with the piano. As well as playing scales, chords and inversions. At the moment I'm going through a coldplay book. 8. Improvising In this hour i work on improvising over different jam tracks. As well as tracks that i create myself through looping the line 6 m9. Sometimes I try and think solely on scales and modes. And other times i try not to think about anything at all and just play by my ears. 9. Legato/Left hand exercises I spend this hour doing strength and dexterity exercises for my left hand. I do a lot of connecting scale runs, patterns and box shapes.Mainly exercises focusing on hammer ons, slides, pull offs and some sweep picking work. 10. Original Work For the last hour i have some fun and work on my originals. Working on writing more lyrics, adding new sections and just jamming new ideas. Thanks for watching and reading guys. If you have any comments or questions feel free to ask and post away. Pat
