A provocative, award-winning gay thriller centred on forbidden Arab-Israeli love. Palestinian psychiatry student Nimr (Nicholas Jacob) dreams of a better life beyond the West Bank. One night, he sneaks across the border to Tel Aviv. Here he meets Roy (Michael Aloni), an affluent Israeli lawyer. The two men quickly fall in love, but this is a relationship that is fraught with danger. Nimr must keep both his sexuality and his relationship a secret if he is to avoid being ostracised by Islamic society. He is also rejected by the Israelis because of his nationality. But the arrest and subsequent murder of his openly gay best friend force his hand. He now faces a stark choice between his love for Roy and the life he planned to lead. A skilful blend of tender love story and nail-biting thriller, Israeli film-maker Michael Mayer's feature debut has won awards at festivals around the world.
