A documentary of a big royal Cremation Ceremony (Palebon) in Ubud / Bali on 18. August 2013. showing movies and photos. The whole Ceremony lasted from noon to evening. It must have taken many weeks to make all preparations, constructions and decorations. It is a detailed presentation of important happenings of a Cremation, the festive procession with musicians playing on cymbals and drums, moving in the streets of Ubud to the final funeral place where the dead body is burned with the decorated bull. Some leftover bones and ashes are grinded and given to family members including children who recieve the ash on the forehead from the widow. Finally the priests perform rituals, praying, shaking bells and also place bones on a special chair covered with beautiful decorated material.
