When a nurse asks on how to incorporate Medicine Buddha in her work, Rinpoche gives a very detailed answer. He starts off by advising to continuously pray to Medicine Buddha and gives a detailed example and emphasises to include enlightenment. To illustrate the power of prayer Rinpoche recalls several stories of healing. One lady had a dog who the vets had given up on. She put him in front of a picture of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and eventually the dog survived. Another lady rubbed the picture on the chest of her daughter who suffered from a heart disease and she got better. Two dogs in Australia got healed by wearing blessed strings. Rinpoche advices to sing the Medicine Buddha mantra to sick and dying people to prevent them from lower rebirth. Rinpoche also recommends the 'Exalted Stainless Beam Totally Pure Light'-Mantra to transform ones own body into a means to purify people.
