We're getting the new Mason & Hamlin 7' grand piano ready for its first day of recording in a few days by 'voicing' the piano.  In this vblog, Ron Tuttle (my piano tech), shows and explains what that means.  Basically, we're trying to 'even' out all of the 88 notes of the piano so that every note sounds consistent.  One note might be thinner or brighter whereas another note might be dark or dull sounding.  We're changing the hardness of the felt on each hammer so that it changes the sound of each individual note.  Check this out!!!
