To make the wood pencil box I used a variety of hardwoods. I used Walnut, Cherry wood, Zebra wood, African mahogany, Purple heart wood, and African Padauk. Out of all the exotic woods, I liked the Purple Heart the best. If you love wood then you will really love a pencil holder or pen holder I made in my garage/woodshop. There are all handmade.
