Journalism is being attacked worldwide, this is a global trend that needs to stop. This segment discusses three examples. Glenn Greenwald's partner being detained for 9 hours, the arrest of a reporter for the Progressive who was in a public space, and officials going into the Guardian offices and destroying computers thought to have information regarding surveillance activity. These examples are occurring in countries claiming significant press freedom. There are many other similar examples of this worldwide, while violence against the press is nothing new, we've seen an expansive and vicious trend in the US, UK and elsewhere.
