Authorities are giving themselves until Thursday to find around 5,000 missing people before declaring them dead following last week's powerful earthquake and tsunami. As the countdown begins, rescuers today are racing to find victims beneath the rubble of Balaroa village. The death toll has now climbed past 2,000. As rescue operations intensify, both local and foreign volunteers continue to aid the victims and provide as much help as possible.
