Isaac has intensified since the last update to become a 65mph storm as it bears down on Haiti. The storm is expected to make landfall over Haiti and then move over Cuba. Tropical Storm Watches are now in force as far as southern Florida, and at this stage all people in Haiti, Cuba, the Bahamas and Florida should be prepared for this storm. Isaac has the potential to become a hurricane before encountering Haiti, and could result in a disasterous situation for the many Haitians still living in temporary accomodation after the earthquake in 2010. At this stage, Isaac is expected to intensify into a hurricane after crossing Cuba, with a potential hurricane landfall in Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi in a few days. Stay tuned for more updates.
