http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Approximately 40km/24 miles of Cairo is the Dahshur Pyramid also known as the "Red Pyramid." A limited amount of tourists visit this pyramid to enter into its depths. I buy an entrance ticket and began climbing down steep stone steps (thankfully with a railing) that lead up to the entrance where a "Guardian" sits. A short dialogue over "baksheesh" (tips) that he wanted for doing nothing, before he lets me begin the steep ramp steps down. I never realized that visiting the inside of a pyramid means steps up, and steps down. Visualization wasn't this... Prepare to do a bent-over version of the "Duck walk" down the entire length of this stuffy chamber until you gratefully reach bottom with thighs quivering like jelly from muscle fatigue....
