Ikegami's IPD-Q60 network camera system features superior compression performance and image quality, as it takes advantage of the JPEG 2000 compression standard, and also features stable bit rate transmission and offers excellent noise resistance. This system is also capable of simultaneously streaming an image in different forms with differing resolution, image quality, and frame rates. The IPD-Q60 system features a dome design incorporating a varifocal lens camera. When a camera is being installed, it is possible to adjust the camera to your intended visual field with a triple axial adjustment. Incorporating Ikegami's proprietary algorithm, the system's motion detector function enables a camera to capture motion outdoors at a high resolution. This new system also reduces the incidence of false positives in the system caused by fluctuations such as the rustling of leaves on trees or ripples on the surface of water. Ikegami has equipped the IPD-Q60 with a day/night switch that enables the system to capture color images in daylight, and vivid monochrome images at night. This system is also capable of capturing images within the near-infrared spectrum. The IPD-Q60 uses Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology to transmit electrical power along with data over a single LAN cable. The use of a PoE compatible HUB eliminates the need for a separate power supply. Ikegami will release the IPD-Q60 this coming summer, and plans to retail the system for 189,000 yen.
