Keeping the Date - Denver FilmRacing 2010

Keeping the Date is my first film and was written, shot, edited, and scored in 24 hours for the Denver Film Race (www.filmracing.com). The idea is we are presented with a theme ( this year it was "Traditions" ) and an action that has to be incorporated into the film ( tying a knot ) at 10pm on a Friday night and have to turn in a completed movie by 10pm Saturday night. This film is my entry into the race. This is the first year Denver has participated in this race and I am proud to be part of it. It was a lot of hard work and this being my first film, I had a lot to learn....and fast, but with my great group of people, I was able to pull it off. We had a screening of all the films last night and being able to see it on the big screen was amazing and I feel I have a shot at winning. This film was shot with the Canon 5D Mark II with various "L" lenses in my home. Much props to the guys at Film Riot (www.revision3.com/filmriot) for teaching this photographer the skills to make this happen. Edited and output from Premiere Pro CS5. I never really used this product before ( was using Final Cut Express ) but needed to edit the Canon 5D files and this product handled it really well. Sure Im using an 8 core Mac Pro, but despite the file sizes, it worked really well.
