Injectors:
The most important aspects of injectors configuring are injector dead times (or lag times) and whether it is a high or low impedance injector, or whether it's a saturated or peak and hold injector. Once you have this information you can input it into your cars engine management system (EMS). The dead time, or lag time, is how long it takes your injector to open once it receives a signal. Once this information is coded into the engine management at different voltages levels then we know that the injector will perform at its peak, considering the other information about this injector is accurate. The impedance is the ohm rating of the injector, high impedance is high ohm and low impedance is low ohm. There should be a way to select this and input the impedance rating into your cars engine management. Autronic engine management systems are the only ones I know about that provide a way to select the injector type in the a drop-down box while tuning. There are no lag times to type in. Autronic determines this information and puts it in with the tuning software for selection. Saturated vs peak-hold injectors aren't discussed in this video, but it is good to know which injector you have so you can configure this appropriately.

Ignition coils:
The most import aspect regarding ignition coils is whether the coil is CDI or TCI style since this determines the control and also how it is wired in. The second, or equally most important aspect is coil dwell time. This is the amount of time that the coil will charge before it delivers a spark. If the dwell time is too short then the spark will not be hot enough, if it is too long then the coil may burn out. The dwell time changes depending on the running voltage of the car. So the dwell times should be added in for multiple voltage readings.
