I've been asked many times to share with student groups what my "day to day" is like in my work as a professional composer of music for ensembles (i.e. band and orchestra at all levels). While I love sharing these sort of things in detail as part of face-to-face composer visits and residencies, and when guest conducting, but I've also used video conferencing technology to meet and even rehearse ensembles "virtually." I created this "meet the composer" video to supplement these experiences. I hope students, directors and others find it interesting to get a small, "behind the scenes" glimpse of where and how I do my creative work as a composer. Enjoy!
