http://montgomerycountypolicereporter.com/deputy-hit-by-hit-and-run-driver/ A Harris County Deputy on his way home last night stopped in the 800 block of Pinemont just west oh Shepherd for a large oak tree across the road. With his overheads on he contacted Houston for assistance. While he was waiting a Hispanic male driving at a high rate of speed coming from Shepherd hit the oak tree pushing it into and under the deputies car raising the patrol off the ground. The driver fled the scene. Moments later a wrecker driver spotted the vehicle west on Pinemont and notified Houston Police who initiated a pursuit on the vehicle, he was finally stopped near Pinemont and Antoine but refused to exit the vehicle.After a short time he was taken into custody. There was minimal damage done to the patrol car.
