CINCINNATI (WKRC) - On Monday, tri-state residents are fighting hunger by running and walking in the Freestore Foodbank's 15th annual Hunger Walk & Run 5K.

The event provides the foodbank's 400 community partner agencies with the opportunity to raise money. Since its inception in 2004, it's raised more than $2 million, which translates to about 6 million meals.

This year's course started at the Banks and took runners through downtown Cincinnati and Covington. Local 12's own Bob Herzog helped host.

More than 4,000 people took part.
