This week the world commemorated the day of the African child;  whose theme was accelerating protection, empowerment and equal opportunities for children in Africa by 2030. In Kenya, stories of family members being maimed or killed by their loved ones have been characteristic of headlines in the last few weeks, with children bearing the brunt in most cases. Gladys Gachanja takes a look at some cases that have left many unanswered questions, whose answers psychologists believe, lie within.
