http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The Qiao Family Compound was first built in 1756 in the Qing Dynasty, renovated twice and enlarged once. "Raise the Red Lantern" filmed scenes here. The ornate compound had six courtyards containing over 300 ROOMS! I always stop to watch and interact with the people cooking on the streets but had never seen or heard of "Stone Pie" before. Very interesting watching this unusual way of cooking a thin wafer...
