Tropical Depression Usman is slowly becoming better organized and is expected to intensify into a tropical storm later today. Despite its winds not being very intense, there may be a very large windfield that extends far from the center of the storm. The largest threat is rain, with widespread predictions of over 200mm of rain falling across whole islands, which much higher isolated amounts in mountainous areas. If you are in the Philippines please pay attention and listen to your local officials.
