It would be so easy to call Dwayne Bacon "The Baconator". So easy. Way too easy. In my opinion, if a nickname presents itself so readily, it's probably a bad nickname. Even if it checks all the boxes:

-Is related to the name of the player
-Is fun to say
-References some popular cultural item of the time (in this case, the Baconator sandwich from Wendy's, which is tasty but is vastly improved if ordered without mayonnaise, because mayo on a burger is an abomination and proponents of it should be rounded up and given electroshock therapy en masse)
-Is family-friendly enough to say on TV

I mean, mayo on a burger? Really? Throw that garbage into the trash. Mayo is for BLT's only. I welcome no dissent on this matter.

Anyway, I've given it some thought and I don't really have a better nickname for Dwayne Bacon at the moment. Not every player has to have a nickname all the time, but Bacon played well enough in this game that I think he deserves one. Maybe it doesn't even have to be bacon-related. Is "Leviathan" taken?

Or "Blackon"? Black bacon? No?
