Well, I saw a vid by Matt2501 on how to stop the tank by not blowing it up since I never completed it that way before and doing it was a bit slow on my part but, if you skip the cutscene and do it fast. It is possible to get a S rank without the help of three other people.

With Sneaking Suit Snake, just go behind the tank and get the guys on the left first and just aim you gun behind them to make them lay on the ground and use the Fulton. The guy in the tank has about 12 guards that will respawn so be aware of your surroundings. Also, don't go in front of the tank's sight which is where the canon is at. As soon as you take care of all the guards, the boss will appear. Explode one of the red tanks as quickly as you can and then just tranq the boss to fulton him.
