http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com As long as we were going to hike, why not use the free transport passes and head over to Vallorcine for the day? The train was not only "retard", late in French, but standing room only all the way. Children on day trips, tourists heading for the French/Swiss border where they'd change trains, mountain bikers, hikers and other groups. Our trail today will be one section of the Chamonix Marathon on Sunday at the 18.2 km/11 mile mark and looked to be quite a challenge.
