This video is my response to a viewers question on whether it is best to be a part time blacksmith as a hobby, or take the leap off the diving board to be a full time blacksmith. I share my thoughts, opinion, and experience on this subject. 

I'm an entrepreneur running my own full time business as a professional blacksmith. I've been running my own blacksmith shop dubbed "Christ Centered Ironworks" since 2008. What began as a hobby, blossomed into a full time business in 2012. Initially I began selling locally at craft shows and at live demonstrations. After several years, my wife began dabbling in online marketplaces. As we became proficient at running an online store, we branched out into several online marketplaces. We've learned a lot through the years, and we'd like to share our knowledge with you. This is an introduction to future topics we will be covering in relation to running your own business. Making a living as an artist blacksmith requires finding a marketplace for your wares (whether online or local), and gaining exposure.
