Joe and Luke Simonds land one of many fun-fighting tarpon off of artificial plastic baits in Boca Grande Pass. We actually went back to the house to get the camera after jumping quite a few tarpon in the Boca Grande pass, and finally caught some footage of Joe Simonds landing this smaller, but incredibly fun fighting, tarpon. The best part was that not only was it caught off a of a 7 inch plastic jerkbait, but it was also on old 20 lb test line with 60 lb monofilament leader. But that is what makes tarpon fishing so much fun...you never know that is going to happen or what line it might hit that day. We had some big fun with some small and big tarpon that day, and next time we promise to have the camera ready to capture the entire tarpon fight.
