2 Killed, 7 Badly Hurt In Express Bus Crash

Two people were killed and seven severely injured when an express bus skidded and slammed into a road divider on the North-South Expressway in Tangkak, Johor. The bus was en route from the Larkin Bus Terminal to the Bandar Tasik Selatan Terminal when the 3.30am accident occurred. The dead have been identified as Tee Suang Lee, aged 55, from Jenjarom, Selangor and P. Suthan, aged 33, from Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Their remains were sent to the Tangkak Hospital for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the seven injured including the bus driver were rushed to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital. The remaining 30 people on board the bus survived the accident unharmed. Police said the vehicle had been towed to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom), for inspection and the cause of the crash is being investigated under the Road Transport Act.
