Gunasekhar Fires on AP Government Nandi Awards About Rudramadevi, Allu Arjun, Baahubali, Resu Gurram.

The on-going Nandi Awards controversy took a new turn with the introduction of Allu Arjun into the mix. Two of his films were in the race, and the makers of the respective films feel that the Awards committee insulted the star. The two films are Race Gurram and Rudramadevi. For the first movie, the producers argue that when Legend can get the award why not Race Gurram as it was a bigger grosser at the box office, meaning it has a bigger public mandate. It was an insult to the star not to give him an Award, and instead, give Brahmanandam. Are they mocking the star, opened up the agitated producer. Similarly, Gunasekhar also showed a form where it is visible that Allu Arjun was sent to the Awards for Best Actor and Supporting Actors from Rudramadevi. How come he gets an Award as Best Character Actor? We have to see if the AP government or jury responds to these allegations or not. 
The AP government's Nandi awards list for 2014 to 2016 aroused huge stir among movie lovers. They felt that the jury committees selected the winners without watching the films. Interestingly, some of the cine celebs have also responded aggressively to Nandi chaos. 
Director Gunasekhar questioned TDP government's biased stand in an open letter. Producer Bunny Vas said mega family contributes 50% of the total business of films in Tollywood and great injustice is done to them in Nandi awards. 
Rebellious producer Bandla Ganesh had some harsh comments on TDP government. He claimed that the awards were not Nandi awards but were 'Cycle Awards'.He opined that Raghupathi Venkaiah award to Megastar Chiranjeevi was just a 'Kantithudupu Charya' (a part of consolation). He further expressed his anguish Govindhudu Andarivadele missing Nandi awards.
Nandi awards’ selections seem to be heading towards a controversy with cine director Gunasekhar taking the social media path to express his displeasure.
“Is it wrong to question?” was a straight poser to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu from the film director.
Mr. Gunasekhar on Wednesday tweeted wondering if it was wrong to question why entertainment tax exemption was not given to Rudrama Devi, a historical film directed by him. Another history-based film (Balakrishna starrer) Gautamiputra Satakarni was given tax exemption. It is still an unanswered question why Rudrama Devi was not considered for the exemption, he asked.
Now it is stated that whoever questions the selection criteria for 2014,2015 and 2016 would be made ineligible for awards for next three years. “In which country are we living? Are we in Independent India?” he asked. Rudrama Devi, which speaks about women empowerment was not considered for any of the first, second and third best films. It was not even considered for the jury award. Or did the jury feel why an award for a film that recalls forgotten Telugu history? he asked.
“Is it felt that encouraging such films would send wrong signals? “If it is so, pardon me for directing a film like Rudrama Devi,” he added.
