China is set to officially take over the rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council for November. China is considering holding open sessions on strengthening multi-lateralism and on the issue of peace and security in Africa. According to a statement release earlier by the foreign ministry, there will also be deliberations on the situations in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, the Middle East, Bosnia, Herzegovina and the Sahel region.
