A universal movement known as the Cult of the Dead has existed since the time of the shamans. It has attached itself to various religious throughout history, creating secret cultures seeking forbidden knowledge. The Cult of the Dead deals with necromancy, ancestor worship, entheogens, and astral flights. Its mythology concerns dying and rising godmen, as well as supreme goddesses. And certainly all manner of ritual cannibalism. Its greatest incarnation was with Paul of Tarsus and the early Christians. Although in most of its manifestations it became only a symbolical aspect of religion, the Cult of the Dead thrived with the Gnostic Cathars and still exists today in certain Pagan dispensations. We investigate this tradition's occult secrets that unlock the secrets of life and death (and beyond). Astral Guest-- Earl Lee, author of From the Bodies of the Gods: Psychoactive Plants and the Cults of the Dead.
