(WKRC) -- You hear the sound of machinery, you smell, the burning debris, you see people helping their neighbors, but until you've seen this, you haven't seen a thing."Where IS their house?" " I guess it's just all thru here." "Everything is gone. I mean, there's nothing. Just totally gone." said Piner residents.This is about all you see at the Wright's house. When they came up the stairs they saw nothing. The hardwood floors remain, but the house, the frame? They don't even know where it is.Rachael Martin said, "He said, 'the tornado was just as big as this field he actually saw their house and barn get picked up.'"Right off the foundation, a two story home. A picture of what it used to look like is in the video.To make matters worse, Anthony Wright's teenage daughter was here with her brother when it happened."So you were right at the bottom of the stairs here?" asked Dan Spehler.Keisha Wright said, "Yes, and it didn't take us. My brother put this door and put it on top of this mattress."Homeowner Anthony Wright said, "The grace of God spared my children. That was the agreement. I heard about the tornado crossing the interstate heading eastbound. I knew we were in path. I just asked the Lord if he'll spare my children. Take everything!"He came home to find the storm did take everything except his children."I was crying, and I was like where are we gonna live. We walked up and looked up, itwas storming, and everything's gone." said Rachael Martin.Anthony Wright said, "My daughter came running up the yard. They were crying. I said, 'Don't worry about it.' We just held hands and I said, 'Don't look back. There's nothing here.'"Except for an old family flag they had found in the rubble, flying now as a symbol of their struggle.Anthony Wright said, "I am bent, but im not broke.""Yeah, it saved us. I'm happy to be alive," said Keisha Wright.That's all that really matters.
