SABC to start retrenchment process, pursue lost monies

The SABC has notified all its staff that it will proceed with its implementation of Section 189 of the Labour Relations Act. It may retrench close to one-thousand permanent employees and may not renew the contracts of one-thousand-200 freelancers as part of its restructuring process.
