Anything got to do with Charisma, Influence, Cognitive Psychology or Neuroscience seems to be my new area of addiction. So when I saw a nice little Purple book in a Hardcover Binding, well I grabbed it.

Now let me divide the book review into 2 parts -- Why you should purchase this book and why you shouldn't.

3 Reasons to buy the book:
1. If you want a mini-compressed version of some of the top books related to Influence, Communication, NLP & Charisma, this is a book to purchase.
2. The content is to the point without the unnecessary fluff.
3. Lots of techniques and to do activities in the book which are very practical.

3 Reasons why not to purchase this book:
1. If you are an advanced level reader or researcher like me, this book commits the sin of cherry picked plagiarism as most of the information is recycled data from the best names & titles in the business and customizing it as the 'Old Wine in a New Bottle' strategy.
2. The data and research to back up the claims are not present other than references to other books and authors.
3. Though the titles suggests 'Charisma' it actually fulfills the role of being a book for Influence and NLP.

Overall Verdict.
Though I was disappointed with the book, I am pretty sure a lot of beginners out there would find this book a treasure chest of information and strategies. However, to move to the next level, one would have to invest the time, money and effort into the Original Authors -- whose names have been mentioned in the end on pages 129, 130 and 131.

Overall Rating
4 out of 10.
