"This video is copyrighted material of Nissan North America, Inc. and should not be copied, edited, or reproduced without the permission of Nissan. The Idle Stop Start (ISS) is designed to prevent unnecessary fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, and noise. When the brake pedal is depressed and the vehicle is stopped, the engine will stop automatically. After the brake pedal is released, the ISS restarts the engine automatically if the selector lever is in the Drive position. The engine also restarts after a period of time. This system does not operate if your vehicle is in reverse. Push the Idle Stop Start Off switch to temporarily deactivate the ISS system. Press again to reactivate the ISS system. Restarting the engine by using the ignition switch will also reactivate the Idle Stop Start System. The status of the Idle Stop Start can be checked in the vehicle information display. If the Idle Stop Start is activated or deactivated using the Idle Stop Start OFF switch, this message is shown. This message is displayed and a buzzer sounds to remind the driver to place the ignition switch in the OFF position before leaving the vehicle to avoid a discharged battery. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information."
