Thirteen miners are reportedly trapped underground at Sibanye-Stillwater's Masakhane mine on the West Rand. Mine authorities say this was after a seismic event this afternoon. The seismic event occured at about 13:30 this afternoon. It apparently caused a fall of ground in an operating stope. The remaining 10 miners are unaccounted for and rescue efforts are continuing.
