A woman has created a luxurious 'mini mansion' in her back garden to escape her male dominated house....and all for under £1,000. 

Sonia Walker, from Rushden in Northamptonshire, loves nothing more than a glass of wine or a spot of afternoon tea with girlfriends in her glamorous 'she cave' which is kitted out with antique furniture, paintings and ornaments. 

Sonia's husband, Andrew, agreed to build the shed for her 50th birthday present and the savvy mum-of-two has lavishly decorated the inside by bagging bargains from car boot sales and charity shops - meaning the opulent den was built and furnished all for less than £1,000. 

Sonia, a college worker, loves her girly domain after years of living with three men - her husband Andrew and sons Bradley, 21, and Ben, 19 and even has a record player in there so she can chill out and listen to music. 

She said: "Our old shed was quite dilapidated so we were looking for a new one but everything I wanted was way out of our price range.
