More than 1,000 secondary school students converge at Kabianga university for peace forum

Over a thousand students from secondary schools in Kericho county converged at Kabianga University grounds for a peace initiative forum.

The program which reinforces efforts to promote peace through education, has since been rolled out throughout the county, with emphasis given to the regions that are prone to ethnic violence. This is however aimed at encouraging learners to become aware of the causes of conflict and how to constructively resolve them especially now that the country is close to a general election. A key aspect of this is enabling youth to co exist peacefully with the diverse communities in the region.
