Suspect arrested in Florida in connection with mailed pipe bombs

Federal authorities in the US have arrested 56-year-old Florida resident Cesar Sayoc in connection with at least a dozen parcel bombs. A law enforcement official told Reuters that the arrest occurred in the parking lot of an auto parts store in Plantation, Florida. Sayoc has been charged with five federal crimes including illegal mailing of explosives and threats to public figures, and faces up to 48 years in prison.
