Richard Scott works in image processing at CDx Laboratories, a pathology lab that specializes in computer-aided cell analysis to provide early detection of cancer. Mathematica was a key tool in developing new computer programs to quickly identify abnormal cells in patients and provide more definitive diagnoses.

Scott says, "Mathematica allows easy integration and evaluation of different kinds of imaging algorithms."
