Andrew Hull applies decades of research in information technology and chemical engineering to the biofuel industry. His recent work focuses on finding the right chemical combinations to use in environmentally friendly fuels.

Hull says that the process involves thousands of equations. Mathematica's rule-based program application provided a simple solution that enabled Hull to gain control over his problem and produce precise results in a short time.
