In this video I do a quick test of a 128GB SD card I got from eBay. It was £8 ($11) so was guaranteed to be fake.

I checked the capacity in Windows (shows 124GB), formatted it (shows 124GB) and then ran a test using H2testw. I only bothered to test the first 10GB. Which turned out to be a wise move as the card failed after 3.9GB.

That means it is a 4GB card faked to look like it has a capacity of 128GB.

So "A K Electronics" you are busted. You won't be the last. I've just ordered another 10 cards from your mates.

The golden rule is ALL 128GB/256GB SD cards on eBay that are less than £15 are fake. The sellers will come up with all sorts of excuses and explanations but the reality is they are advertising products and not delivering that product. I call this fraud.

eBay know about this scam but refuse to act. They seem happy that their buyers are getting ripped off.

Some buyers will attempt to bribe you to not leave negative feedback. This helps reduce the visible complaints by buyers receiving these counterfeit flash memory products.
