Thousands demonstrate to back German refugee policy

Thousands of people gathered on the streets of Stuttgart to demonstrate in support of the government's policy on admitting refugees. The rally was organised by charities and trades unions. But the demonstration comes in the face of dwindling public support for Chancellor Angela Merkel's welcome policy for asylum seekers.
