Vishal Bhardwaj, film director of acclaimed feature films such as Maqbool, Omkara, Kaminey, Blue Umbrella, Makdi and Haider, is also known for his powerful screenplays and catchy dialogues.

His love for Urdu is also an integral part to his storytelling through his feature films. Now, Vishal Bhardwaj has come up with his own collection of Urdu poems- Nude. Some of his couplets have become instant hits:

Itni jaldi kya thi roothe rehna tha
thoda aur manaane dete, aap bhi bus

Taxi waaley ko jaane kyun tok diya
lambi raah ghumaaney dete, aap bhi bus

isliye text mein likha keh sake jo lab nahin

Vo baat karte karte hi khamosh ho gaya
mujh ko laga k network tootne laga

At the 5th Jashn-e-Rekhta, world's largest Urdu festival in New Delhi on 16th December 2018, Vishal Bhardwaj was interviewed by Faridoon Shahryar before an invited audience.
