Dr de Grey believes that the first person to live to a thousand has already been born. 

He is the controversial self-described crusader against ageing and world-leading gerontologist. He is editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Rejuvenation Research” and a Fellow of both the Gerontological Society of America and the American Aging Association. Most importantly, he is Chief Science Officer and founder of the Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence (SENS) Research Foundation, seeking to fundamentally alter the way we research and treat age-related disease.
