The Atlantic has a brand new storm, and storm number 18 at that. Sandy is currently stationary in the Caribbean, but is expected to move northward towards a possible landfall in Jamaica, Cuba, or Haiti. Tropical Storm Watches are currently in effect for Jamaica and Haiti, and one shouldn't rule out Sandy intensifying into a hurricane along the way, though at the moment it seems somewhat unlikely. The storm should push through to the open Atlantic and turn extratropical before too long.
