(480) 926-1344 [email protected] This 1949 Ford F-1 is an awesome kind of custom pickup that takes its classic freight train commanding appearance, and then adds in serious V8 power, a comfy A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and much more. With a quality build like this, you won't want to miss out. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this example has something extra special going for it. This starts with the paint. The bold red announces this is a street machine from blocks away, but as you get closer, something else comes into view. The custom paint utilizes a dark fade that helps to emphasize some of the best body creases – like on the fender panels and the power bulge on the top of the hood. The paintwork has to be vivid, because the chrome could easily steal all the attention with the bold grille, slats on the hood, upgraded rear bumper, and the polished American Racing Torq Thrust wheels (with an aggressive 15/16 inch front/rear stagger.) And of course, you'll love all the details like the bright dual exhaust tips, dual sport mirrors, and the stylish lumber in the truck bed. The interior continues the mix of premium and performance feeling. It starts with the bucket seats that are infinitely more comfortable than what came from the factory in '49 – the driver's one even power adjusts! They are covered in supple leather, and so are the custom door panels. It coordinates nicely with the custom center console (including cup holders,) headliner, and carpeting. The exterior's premium red paint returns on the top of the doors and flows onto the dash for a very uniform total package. There's also plenty of brightwork with the classic center stack, polished tilt steering column, tall Lokar shifter, billet pedals, and the upgraded panel surrounding the full set of AutoMeter gauges.
