In this simple video tutorial, you will learn how to scan your PC for malware, spyware or any other potentially harmful elements using Windows Defender. Windows defender has scanning options that allow users to scan their PCs and remove any potentially unwanted programs. There are several ways to scan your PC using windows defender. A quick scan will check the places on your computer's hard drive that spyware is most likely to affect. Simply open windows defender anc click 'Scan' To run a full scan, open Windows Defender, click the drop down arrow next to 'Scan' and select 'Full Scan'. A full scan will check all partitions,folders and files on your Hard drive and all the programs currently in your PC. You can also run a custom scan on your PC using Windows Defender. You can select specific locations on your PC for Windows Defender to scan. Open windows Defender click the arrow next to scan and select 'Custom scan' Click 'Scan selected drives and folders' and then click 'Select' Select the drives and folder you want scanned and click 'OK' Click 'Scan Now' to start the custom scan. Windows Defeder also has some advanced scanning options that you can find when you click on Tools, then Options. Then select 'Advanced on the left pane. You can select from these additional options when scanning.
