VEVAY, Ind. (WKRC) -- A local community wants answers about its power problem and a state lawmaker has gotten involved. June 2015, the town of Vevay was left in the dark for nearly 24 hours. Food spoiled on store shelves and the fire department hosted a dinner for residents. Duke Energy said a tree fell onto a main line and it took longer to restore power than anticipated. But Vevay residents said there have been other outages. State representative Randy Frye and other local officials will meet with Duke at a town hall meeting. The meeting is scheduled Wednesday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Switzerland County Tech Center. Follow us on Twitter @Local12 and LIKE us on Facebook for updates!
