Tan Sri Zeti Takes Over Wahid As PNB Chairman

Former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governer, Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz has been announced as the new Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) group chairman effective July 1st, 2018. Tan Sri Zeti who is well respected globally due to her 16 years leadershp as a governor will replace Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar who has resigned as PNB group chairman effective June 30th, 2018. Tan Sri Zeti is presently one of the members of the council of eminent persons entrusted to advice the government on economic and financial matters. The annoucement was made by Tan Sri Abdul Wahid himself at PNB's townhall session which started at 4.30pm. The former banker's resignation has been widely speculated after the new government's landslide victory in the 14th General Election.
