EZValidation™ 2: Logging In and Opening Your Study

This video is two of 12 that demonstrates the EZValidation Online Tool for validation and verification of molecular tests. It can also be used as training for those unfamiliar with EZValidation and AcroMetrix products by Life Technologies. This video shows you how to log in and open your study.

Logging in and opening your study in the EZValidation™ online tool. From the EZValidation™ online tool homepage, go to the upper right-hand corner and click on the login link.  Type in your username, which is your e-mail address.  Type in your password.  Click on log in.  You can see that you're logged-on because at the top of the page you'll see your e-mail address as well as the log out button, which you'll use to log out and end your session.  Also you'll notice that at the right-hand side, there's a box displaying, my studies.  This shows your EZValidation™ tool studies that, you have designed.

So now we're going to go to our study. If my study showed up in this small box, then I could click on the link, any one of these links here, and it would take me into that specific study.  But my study is number 280.  And so I'm going to click on view all studies in order to show the entire list and get to my study, number 280.  

Now you'll see the entire list of studies. I'm going to scroll down to number 280. And it's telling me that this is a sales demo, study number 280. The title of it is Demo Study Definition.  It's in the running study state as opposed to other studies that we're looking at, which are in the locked state or the study completed state.  It's a quantitative validation following the CLIA/CAP New York State guidelines.  And we're doing an HIV validation, and it's in copies per mil.  I'll click on study number 280.  

And now I'm in my study. I'm in the running study state, as I can see on the right-hand side. All of the information that I've already input, including the validation start date, the assay name, laboratory name; in this case, who the study was created by, as well as the analyte, the parameters, and the system information are all here.  This is the interface that you would use to enter information such as your lot numbers, expiration dates, and acceptance criteria.  We will cover this in the next chapter.
