/// NOTICE : This video is intended for a "Mature Audience" only. \\\ In this War Thunder video tutorial, I fly and review the LaGG-3-35 and LaGG-3-66. They both are equipped with (1) 12.7mm machine gun with 200 rounds and (1) 20 mm cannon with 150 rounds, so armament is fair for tier-2. Historically the LaGG was underpowered and slow; its top speed was just 575 km/h. The LaGG-3 proved to be somewhat hard to control as it reacted sluggishly to stick forces. In particular, it was difficult to pull out of a dive, and if the stick was pulled too hard, it tended to fall into a spin. As a consequence, sharp turns were difficult to perform. A more powerful engine was installed, but the improvement was negligible. This historical fact translates in the game as an excessive loss of speed and maneuverability while pulling prolonged high G turns. While flying close to the deck, elongate your turns and change your altitude to change your attack angle. Overall, I really like the LaGGs for arcade battles but with my lack of gunnery skills, I find the limited amount of ammo a problem in realistic battles.
