4 killed in Kapedo attack, another 2 killed in retaliation

In the bleak, almost lifeless expanse that is Kapedo, life has been marked by death and news headlines … as bandits roam freely …..  leaving behind a trail of death,destruction and  untold pain.

Tonight we are reporting, yet again, that 6 people have been killed in the latest wave of violence there.

4 people were killed in the first wave in Ameyan, while 2 were killed in revenge for the morning attack.

Locals say the attacks stem from land tensions that have simmered between communities residing in Turkana and Baringo Counties.

And following this latest incident, a greater sense of hopelessness is setting in for a people that are now wearily resigned to the violence.
